ICA & Policy Manual (v5-25-26)
Open the signed Agreement and Policy Manual as you read through this lesson.
Welcome to the Independent Contractor Agreement & Brokerage Policy Training course. This course walks you through the agreement you signed — or are about to sign — with Scofield Group LLC, section by section, so you understand exactly what you agreed to and how it shapes the way you operate.
One document, two jobs
The document is titled the “Independent Contractor Agreement & Policy Manual” because it does two things at once. As the Agreement, it is the binding legal contract that defines your relationship with the brokerage. As the Policy Manual, it is the rulebook for how you operate day to day. Section 12 makes this explicit: the Policy & Procedure Manual is incorporated into and made part of the Agreement. The two cannot be separated — when you sign, you agree to all of it.
Scofield Group LLC is an independent Nevada brokerage, located at 8704 Spanish Ridge Ave, Suite #300, Las Vegas, NV 89148. Your signature page also names your Ambassador Sponsor — the agent who brought you in.
Legal notice — please read
This course explains Scofield Group policy. It is training material — it is not legal advice. The Independent Contractor Agreement & Policy Manual is a binding legal contract. If you have questions about how any provision affects you, ask the Broker — and consult your own attorney before you sign. Completing this course does not change, waive, or override anything in the signed Agreement. If the course and the signed Agreement ever appear to differ, the signed Agreement governs.
How this course is built
The course follows the structure of the Agreement across seven lessons:
- Introduction & Legal Notice — this lesson.
- The Independent Contractor Relationship — what 1099 status means, and what it does not.
- Compensation, Splits & Cap — how you are paid, the fees, and the annual cap.
- Ambassador Program & Production Standards — recruiting income and the production floor.
- Conduct — professional conduct, marketing, dress code, office policy, and social media.
- Compliance — licensing limits, telemarketing law, insurance, and confidentiality.
- Termination — offboarding, the two-year restrictive covenants, and dispute resolution.
Each lesson ends with a quiz. The course ends with a Final Exam covering the contract, Fair Housing, and marketing compliance. Keep the resource PDF open as you go — every quiz answer traces directly to a clause in that document.
The mindset
Read the Agreement as the operating manual for a business you own — run inside a brokerage that has your back. The brokerage holds you accountable because your success is the point, not to control you. Accountability here is a shared journey, not a pressure tactic. Let’s get started.
⚖️ Why this matters
Read the Agreement before signing. This course is policy training, not legal advice — the signed Agreement governs. If anything is unclear, ask the Broker and your own attorney before you sign.
